Alpaca/wool socks: Keep those tootsties even warmer with our new 50% alpaca & 50% Maine wool socks.  Just like our 100% Maine wool socks, these alpaca socks are also handcrafted right down the road from our Pure Maine facility on an antique, hand-cranked sock knitting machine dating from the 1900s.  They come in a large range of sizes and two natural alpaca colors, a soft creamy off-white and a medium sheep grey. 

Alpaca fleece is considered as soft as cashmere, warmer than sheep’s wool, hypo-allergenic and almost completely waterproof.  Alpaca's hollow fiber traps heat for greater thermal capacity and mechanically pushes water away.  It's extra softness is a pleasure to wear against your skin. All our socks are pre-washed and are reinforced with nylon throughout the foot to increase comfort and wear. 

Perfect for skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, or just hanging out.

All socks are 'dress' length and extend to approximately mid-calf but custom orders can be accepted.   Please contact us if ordering multiple pairs for a special combined item shiping rate.
